Purpose:

This site is dedicated to showcasing the assignments and reflections from the GIS 520: Spatial Problem Solving course at North Carolina State University.  The site is a summary and reflection of this course and  is broken into four parts and further broken into themes that demonstrate common geospatial problems and the strategies to solve them.  The principles covered in this course provide a skeleton knowledge for solving larger, more complicated geospatial problems.

Navigability:

Under each individual subheader there is a description of the assigned problem, the strategies to solve the problem, and a reflection of the assignment and techniques used.  This is then followed by an outline of future applications for the techniques and problem solving skills learned in the unit.  Additional resource link are available at the bottom of each page for more reading from ESRI. The themes are directly linked to one another or you can navigate to each header to see what themes are available.
